Re: Doug's 65 Cyclone build

You are going to have a #1 car when you get finished, Doug.
Don't get the opportunity to see many restorations like this. Hope you drive the socks off of her when you get finished.

Re: New Comet owner here - 64 Wagon

when I went to a 4spd,,,I knew for sure my bench set was staying put, and I almost went with column shift,,last minute I went 4spd...pop I was thinking about this, Pop. At the time, I would have restored the car the same as the buyer. Thinking back on it, I wouldn't. A 3 speed, bench seat, A code C...

My wagon is a K-code, too bad it's not the same as the Mustang lol
Yeah, I'm old '65 Cyclone guy. Speaking of options, my Cyclone had bench seats, 3 on the tree and a trailer hitch.
The guy that bought it and restored it put buckets, console and 4 speed in it. He messed up an odd car.

The refresh is clean but this period correct look is Boss!
Really like that paint scheme and wheel/tire combo. May be a bit overstated but it's rad, IMO. One of a kind.

Re: Lavron's '64 Build Thread

I dig the cammed up high compression 6 banger! Getting that induction system working well, see what ya got, is my bag with your car. Was wondering if you ever thought of building a sheet metal intake for the carbs. It's an old budget-friendly hot rod tradition. You can use epoxy to radius the runner...

,,so it is what it is,,,,pop Yep, Pop. It is what it is....bloody rare! 8) Hi Joe, yes the PO had bought a 64 wagon new with a 4 speed and a 289 4bbl. Sounds like PO was a family guy and a Don Nicholson fan :D Production number for the 404 wagon was 6,918. The number equipped with the A code with 4...

Cool wagon, Brian!

PO had a factory 4 speed wagon or converted?
I imagine a factory car was a very rare option.

Re: Beer cruise!

Honest evaluation, Fred. My favorite conception of your car has to be the Cleveland strip build. Yes, not practical for a cruiser but still my favorite, possibly serving as a pleasure car now. When I bought my Comet, it was to serve this purpose alone, being practical-minded. I knew I was goi...

'74 Comet/Maverick has alternate hood and cowl sprayed with flat black plastic - @ 2 years and still ok: Cool Mav! Had an old girlfriend drove a Comet GT and another friend a Mav 6 banger back in the 70's. The Rustoleum wide fan Turbo comes in clear if you wanted to top off the hood for ultra-shine...

Rustoleum Turbo Paint

Think this is really cool! Wide fan to cover large panels.
Available in rusty metal primer as well for those rashy rat rod jobs.
