Re: Where does the time go?

Responding to Jim's (there are far too many Jim's in here! :D ) original post... I'm about to retire after 45 years with the same company. Jan 31st will be my last day working. I've been reflecting over these many years and I'm struck by how quickly time has passed. Indeed, Where does the time go? S...

Re: 1965 Comet Caliente (little red)

Congrats on the new Comet! It looks great! Hopefully you get it soon. As far as brakes... I had all drums, one reservoir, non power. Upgraded to front disc, dual reservoir and power. HUGE difference!! I would consider this a required, not optional, upgrade. I had it done so don't know particulars on...

Re: Mercury Truck

Spent several hours Saturday at a car show with this truck and the owner. Our parking next to each other was a happy coincidence. :D Great guy who has had a bit of an adventure getting this truck and processing it through our California DMV system. It's a 1966 through and through ( I was wrong on ta...

64 Comet Wagon

Thought I'd put this here so it doesn't detract from the current threads in the 64-65 Comet section...

Ran into this beauty at a car show in Rocklin, CA. this weekend. A bit of a Mad Max vibe going on here....Fun!

Re: 2023 Auburn Cruise Night - Auburn, CA

I'll bet it was fun, Jim. 3 Comets out of 367 cars...that's about par.  I went to Cars & Coffee this morning, but it was threatening rain and there was a slim turnout. Probably 100 or less. Mostly modern upscale daily drivers that get out in the rain all the time. Most of the guys with ...

Re: Mercury Truck

What year was that truck, Jim? 70's? I don't recall ever seeing a Mercury truck. I noticed the Canada tag on the front. Were they mostly a Canadian thing? Jim It was a 1968 according to the temporary registration tag on the windshield. Must've been recently purchased. Too bad the photo washed out t...

2023 Auburn Cruise Night - Auburn, CA

Final Auburn Cruise night for 2023.
367 cars, 3 Comets! Mine, a Red 65 that is beautifully redone, and a White 67 that is original (sorry, no pics :( ).
About 2,000 people attended.

Mercury Truck

Saw this at the Folsom Prison car show today (yes, a car show at a prison. Very interesting...they searched the car trunk on the way out). :) Super clean truck. Couldn't track down the owner to talk to them about it. https://i.postimg.cc/3w734z0z/IMG-3986.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/Tw0jv8nx/IM...

Re: Springs Sagging?

Looks good to me! Can't speak to the height variation. If there's no tire scraping and it rides nice, I'd call it good.
