So the other day Im driving around and it was a pretty warm day close to 90 degrees. comet is running close to 190 deg at the red light and cuts off. Got it fired back up and it was running not so great but made it back home. Every time I stopped I had to feather the gas to keep it running. I have a...

9'' Rear End

Does anyone know if a 9'' rear end from a 65 f100 will fit under my 67 comet? What all goes into that swap? Is it even worth the trouble to do it?

Re: Strong Gas Smell

Found the problem. Drove it around the yard popped the trunk and it was soaking wet with gas! Ordering a fuel tank. Does anyone know where to get a sending unit? I have looked but could not find one. Would one from a fairlane work?

Re: Strong Gas Smell

Smell was there before the carb change. Nothing leaking under the hood. Made sure the new carb was not leaking, the fuel line and fitting and the fuel pump and feeder line. I did notice that parts of the fuel hose were dry rotting and getting brittle. Plan to change that out this weekend. I did noti...

Strong Gas Smell

Alright guys since I have been on here, we have tackled a couple of issues. Here is the current issue with the 67. It reeks of gas. I can smell it outside of the car and on the inside. I did an inspection under the car and no leaks. Where could this smell be coming from? It has this smell when it is...

Re: Carburetor Identification

Thanks Pop no hurry. I got the carb on and the idle is extremely high. My memory has failed me and I can’t remember which adjustment screw is which. But I need to idle it down a good bit.
