Re: mahors 1964 comet pro street build

Thank you. I wish I did, but I still have tabs on it. The trifecta of layoffs, divorce, and medical issues hit me hard too, so it gone but not far.

Also, maybe the link will work

Re: mahors 1964 comet pro street build

Hey everyone. Progress on this slowed to a near stop a few years ago as Kevin (mahorsc) battled cancer and relocated home before passing. His project is now up for sale. All info and contact can be found in this Facebook post. Take care everyone. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=278733195...

Troubleshooting the 289!

Hey everyone, after a long hiatus, I bought a new battery and fired the ol' girl back up. It gave me no issues and idled and ran like she has since the build but I never felt it was quite right. I picked up an infrared thermometer based on something that Kevin (mahorsc) told me a while back. I laser...

Re: C4 Troubleshooting

Sounds like converter drainback. It won't actually hurt anything but here's how to check to see if that's the problem....Drive the car for a while and park it.Imediatly check the fluid level not running and record it.Wait a day or two and check the level again cold not running. If it's way up on the...

Re: C4 Troubleshooting

I have on several occasions thinking the same. But when I fill to to the full mark and drive, it seems to start spewing from the vent and killing the mosquitoes behind me. I can't figure it out.

C4 Troubleshooting

Hey everyone! I hope everyone year is off to a good start. I think there is a problem with my valve body. When I cold start the car and put it in gear, nothing happens. Took her off the road!

Hey folks, it's been a while. I've missed you all dearly but we all know life has roller coasters. On the flip side, I can't say its all bad. The transmission in the Old Comet has started to fail and there is some metal work to be done so, I figured that now I had some fun and good times with her, I...

Re: Flooding in South Carolina

Glad to hear that y'all are fine Jim. I live roughly 2-3 miles from the lake the way the bird flies. We were very fortunate but some as close as three houses from us were not. An acre of my back yard became a pond that came up just over my knees but the house, family and vehicles were fine. We had s...

Weird pull on my gas pedal

Hey folks, quick question. When I take off from a stop, it feels as if my gas pedal is being pulled by itself or the engine. It doesn't happen everytime but frequently enough to be a concern for safety. Has this happened to anyone else?

Against a 2015 Camaro from a roll

Just like the title says. I knew I had no hope, no chance but I didn't know exactly where my little engine that could stood in the real world. Never dyno'd and all theoretical numbers. I went for the pass from around 55-60. My nose got even with his door when he hit it. He began to slowly walk away ...

The orange fiero with the lambo doors had a 350 in there and it was done right! Ran cooler than my car for sure! Thanks for the welcome back, life has had me busy!
