If memory serves me correctly the upper ball joints are riveted or pressed in, most people replace the upper control arm as one piece.

You will also have to have an inside spring compression tool and not an outside one.

Where is your avatar located? I think it must have been moved from the original location or the server is unable to contact it. It possibly can be a bandwidth issue if you have it on one of the free services and it will show up again when the bandwidth is back under it's allocation.

Check your switch, it is not at the pedal, but at the master cylinder. The brake switch is small approx 3/4" round and screwed into the front end of the MC, it has two wire posts on it. I think you will find all of it bolted (that is with nuts) on in the inside of the body panels.

The recommended way to get rid of the holes is to fill them with weld and grind them smooth.
