Re: '64 Windshield Squirter Nozzle

Thanks Fred at least I know what they look like now, maybe '65 Mustang ones could be made to work.

Re: Lavron's '64 Build Thread

I have brake lights and back-up lights now (sort of) I need to find an ignition hot wire in the trunk to grab power for the backup lights, I might get it from the fuel pump relay trigger wire, I installed the plug on the T5 for back-up lights and ran it up to the negative block and the other wire ba...

'64 Windshield Squirter Nozzle

Anyone know a source for the nozzles to fit a '64, I assume they are the same or similar all the way from '60-'65 but have no idea. does anyone have a picture of what they even look like? I can find '65 Mustang ones and did not know if they could be made to fit or if they are maybe even the same par...

Re: Lavron's '64 Build Thread

All but finished with the wiring harness  8) I made a video just so I keep practicing and maybe make a decent one eventually, I think I need some equipment upgrades :P Will post the video later when it finishes uploading (it takes forever) Started the Comet today and drove it outside for the ...

Re: LED Tail Light Issues

Some LED tail lights come without a built in resister, so you then have to buy them and wire them in. Without the resister you don't get enough current going thru the blinker to get it to work. Might check that out. They blink, I have a flasher for LEDs. My plans have been to replace all the lights...

Re: 289 T5 flywheel

I don't know much about 302/289s but have a little experience with T5s I don't think using the improper balanced flywheel is a good thing and I don't think there is a specific T5 flywheel, so any properly balanced flywheel should work, you can't use the 164 tooth flywheel without the right bell hous...

LED Tail Light Issues

I was wiring my LED tail lights today and everything worked ok (well the sequencer won't work but just decided to skip it for now) I had to tinker with the turn signal switch because the brake lights were not feeding through, I ended up bending the brake wires and got them to work but it seems odd t...

Upgrade Single Speed Wipers to 2-speed + Intermittent

I thought I would post this here as well for future reference in case it gets lost in my build thread and someone is looking to do this upgrade. The parts you need are two-speed wiper motor (I used a new one NOS but had to modify it) if you can find the right one you won't have to modify it like I d...

Fuel Pump Switch Location

Opinions wanted. I have a fuel pump switch to cut power manually for whatever reason. Would you put the switch showing on the console or place it up under the dash where you can't see it while sitting in the seat (my thoughts would be right below the ignition switch, where you could reach down and f...

Re: Lavron's '64 Build Thread

piggy back the ones with out the most draw/////POP Some of mine have to be really light on draw, vital circuits I would leave alone. Yesterday I ran the wire for the interior lights (really light, there is only the dome light) I ran it through the cigarette lighter first and left an open spade sock...

Re: Lavron's '64 Build Thread

Did some more wiring today, I think all that is left is the A/C, door buttons and the dash lights inside the car and then wiring the taillights and front parking lights and the back-up lights. Wires are run to the trunk and the front of the car just need to hook them up. I have used up almost all of...

Re: Lavron's '64 Build Thread

I got my wiper upgrade done, now I have 2-speed wipers with intermittent settings. Total cost with the brand new wiper motor was just over $100 but can be done a lot cheaper than I did by going to the junkyard yourself and pulling the parts instead of paying some person on eBay to do it  Here ...
