Re: Ford Heritage web site

We must have been perusing the same websites yesterday.
Saw this but didn't dig too deep. I like the downloadable brochures 👍

if I use a mustang top loader would that mount work?
Mustang shifter mounts where the tailhousing necks down.
Measure the Comet/Falcon location back to that point, should get you in the ballpark.

It’s a real thing. Helps to kill some of the acidity. Try it some time.
A cup of red wine will do the same thing. Extra points for venison 👍

Re: 3x2 manifold

Only way I would install that on a 260 is disable the outboard carbs. Then it's all eye candy and nothing more.
BTW- Miller made more horsepower on the dyno w/ Autolite 4100 than the 6V set-up!

Re: 3x2 manifold

The Tri-Power setups were selling for over $3K new before Covid hit. It''s a drag the ports aren't photographed well. This could make a good induction piece on a cammed-up stroker w/ a good set of heads. The question is, is there enough meat to take the ports out to match the heads? Would need to ma...

Re: 3x2 manifold

Shelby offered a 6V intake manifold like this in '63 that would fit the 260 & new 289 engines. New ones are $800+. You be the judge. https://i.postimg.cc/qB3xXPw1/IMG-0907.jpg Finding the correct carbs could be a tall order, not sure. Here's some good info- https://www.ford6vcarburetion.com/ford-6v-...

Don't the green dots have a iron case and C4 aluminum?
I've only owned one green dot, in a '66 Mustang. Did wrestle a few FMXs :?

Re: The McCoy 64 A/FX Comet on eBay

It would be cool if some one ran it a nostalgia events. But that is not likely, Not likely, why I didn't mention it but you never know! Seems there were a rash of these cars still running on the track 15-20 years ago. If the price is right, someone may step up to the plate and throw a rev li...

Owner probably built this or bought it to participate in the Gulf Coast Run and custom car show.
I've never participated. Heard it's grown way too big for my comfort zone.

Sadly, probably only good as a museum piece now.
Looks like it's current status, Joe. Would be cool if someone bought it to display @ nostalgia events around the country.
