And what caused the trunk rust, besides the carpet? The leaky (dried and cracked up) trunk seal, which also rusted the trunk l...

Re: what did you do to your comet today?
Joe it's handy to have a build thread,or just a plain thread if it is already built. Was thinking about 'Joe's Tinkering Thread' Joe I think a tinkering thread is fine mine may morph to different areas as I try and gEt something usuablE like lavron’s engine thread or lavron’s air ride or lavr...

Re: 1960-1962 (or 63?) front drivers subframe to replace mine
I think they would be the same only difference might be where some of the suspension bolt holes are but really the 64 needs converted to 65 steering anyway while one is working there:P

Re: what did you do to your comet today?
Just piddling around today, waiting for the kit and jets to arrive for my Holley double-pumper. Installed the proper air cleaner decal and dome light lens. Still not certain about total displacement but after purchasing a pen light and small inspection mirror, I found the casting number on the bloc...

Re: Lavron's '64 Build Thread
AIN'T nothing like a good plan and for it to come togrther,,,,we all like to see the results,,,,the most important thing on a build is not to burn yourself out on WORK.....so many do this very thing, work every wakening hour they can ,then all of a sudden they are exhausted and tired, then the projec...

Re: Accelerator pedal
I want to install a Mustang accelerator pedal on my 65 Caliente 289 4 speed. The stock 64-66 Mustang pedal is the “floating” type - i.e. not attached to the floor. Does anyone know if the Mustang pivot rod (the rod that connects the accelerator pedal to the carburetor through the firewall) is inter...

Re: Painless Wheel/Tire Upgrade?
Bet it's somewhere close!! The 3/8" with 4.175 BS is likely closer to where mine would end up. I plan on leaning on it pretty hard (semi-delusional auto-x plans!) so I wanted at LEAST a half inch, better 3/4! I doubt it'll move that much but guess we'll see. Jim - You gotta be champing at the BIT m...

Re: Painless Wheel/Tire Upgrade?
Hey gents, Tax season has paid off and I got the go-ahead from the wife to use some of our refund to go towards a new set of wheels/tires for my Caliente. Tire/Wheel sizing is not my specialty, so I am a little intimidated at the prospect of figuring it all out. I am looking to get a set of Cragar ...

Re: 1963 S22 V8 347 engine/trans swap questions...
Since my last question I learned my inline 6 conversion has a 7" rear end. My friend told me this would probably not get me out of the driveway is I was lucky... It'll get you out of the driveway. The rest depends on how you drive the car. If you plan on dumping the clutch at 6K with cheater slicks...
