At a meager 7 posts, I think I have a long way to go to catch up.

I'm thinking of anything you can do to lighten the car and lighten rotataing weight. You said you didn't want to change the rear gear, but I would think you would need to go to the 2.80's or higher. Also, since you got a six cyl.car which rearend is in it, the 8" or more likely the smaller 7 thingy....

The black car is a 2x3 square tube car. It has a 4 link with 4.11's out back. The tires are Mickey T's 10.5W x 31. C-6 Transmission with a Transbrake. Are we allowed to post links to you tube videos here? I don't want to get off on the wrong foot and do something I shouldn't. If we can, I can post a link to a couple of videos of my car going down the track that a friend took a couple of years back.
