Great information ^^ thanks!
I guess my last question would be about the linkage - from trans to shifter - is that something that will come in a installation kit with a new shifter?
sorry - don;t suppose it could be much more obvious that I am new at this standard trans swap thing

Re: 67 202 - 4 Speed Questions
Hi Riverbum - I'm actually almost smack in the middle of Missouri, right between St Louis (east) and Springfield (west). I gather this thing wont be too hard to find - my main concern is finding the right one and hopefully in good condition. I see a lot of remanufactured units out there, seems the r...

Re: 67 202 - 4 Speed Questions
Hi there - I thought I responded, but the response didn't appear, so I'll try again - first of all thank you for the response! I was pretty sure this would be a direct swap - I won't say easy as I'm just a regular joe :D and I have a way of making things harder than they should be sometimes =) I'll ...

Lol - I can relate. I drove my '49 Chevy from Illinois to Missouri after buying it - felt like Fred Flinstone - I could touched the pavement from the drivers seat

The name of the project is "Shaggin Wagon". Hi, and from another recent joiner - welcome! I'm much more a 'learner' than a 'teacher' here, but I read everything as I benefit from all these posts. Doing the powertour would be awesome and I think it's cool your going to work over the 6cyl - with gas ...

67 202 - 4 Speed Questions
Hi - though I was sure I could find this here, I didn't, so sorry if this has been covered. My 67 Comet 202 was originally a 6cy/3spd car - the 6 cylinder is long gone with a 302 under the hood now, but the 3-speed is there (converted to floor shift) and it's giving up the ghost. Can't say I'm sorry...

67 Comet Owner Checking In - Hi All!
Hi everyone - I have been meaning to get registered here for a while - just kept gettig side tracked. My name is Brad, and I am the proud owner of a 1967 Comet (hopefully the picture loads). As a kid I used to dream I'd have a 67 Fairlane one day (back in the 70's) - well, I came across this Comet a...
