Re: Antique car registration
In SC, any car 25 years old or more can be registered as an antique car provided it's not used as a daily driver. Tag and title fees total $25. No taxes or tag fees after that. I'm sure it probably varies by state. Just call your DMV.

Re: poboyjos ride
I was at the Charlotte auto fair earlier this month and saw nothing for Comets, any year. Last year there was one 65 Caliente for sale, and I saw a few emblems in one booth. There were a few Falcons and Falcon parts, and tons of Mustang stuff and cars. Lots of 50's and 60's Chevys. My son-in-law is ...

Re: installing 302 and t-5
Did the Mustang T-5 put the shifter too close to the seat/console? Did you have to use a S-10 tail housing to move it forward?

Re: installing 302 and t-5
Hey gearhasher ... what did your bell housing and T-5 come out of? I'm considering the same conversion on mine. Are you using hydraulic or cable clutch?

Re: weather proof relay enclosure for 3 or 4 relays
Ron set up his relays in Comechero really neat using an old regulator housing.

Re: Tires!!
WAS always told to never cross sides with a radial That was the case back in the late 60's/early 70's when radials really began to be promoted. Casing separations were more prevalent then, and were attributed to cross-rotating the tires, which caused the tire to rotate in the opposite direction fro...

Re: Floor pan replacement
There is speculation that they're the same for both bodies. I haven't measured it but it is not thin. It feels every bit as thick as OE. I'll hit it with my calipers and share. I don't know how gauge converts to actual measurement. FYI: https://www.unc.edu/~rowlett/units/scales/sheetmetal.html Jim

Re: Tires!!
Old school look of bias ply or a radial of some kind, that's where I'm stuck. You said you went to 15x6 wheels, which I assume are narrower than the wheels you had on it. Each 1/2" reduction in rim width will reduce the tire width by 0.2" for the same tire. I'm not surprised that bias tires cost mo...
