Re: 61 4dr. 144 cu. engine Muffler issue
It should be a 16 gal tank. Did you install the new tank? Was it the same shape as the original? Are the muffler inlet and outlet staggered from each other? Officer: May I see the owner's card for this vehicle? Driver: It's not my car. I stole it. Officer: The car is...

Jim, I've noticed that a lot of the hardware on your car is golden color. Did you have them anodized?

Re: Car Lift and Garage
Still too cold, or too rainy, or both to epoxy coat my floor, so I continue to "feather the nest", as my wife calls it, with stuff I won't have to haul back out when the weather permits me to coat the floor. Today I mounted a traffic signal that I've had stored in my basement for 20 to 25 years, won...

That is impressive, and looks great! Did you photoshop the pic of the finished car, or is that an existing car you're using as the inspiration for yours? If you photoshopped it, then I'm REALLY impressed.

Re: 1965 Comet Caliente (little red)
The next time you get it on the lift, raise it just an inch or so off the floor with the front suspension hanging free. Take a crowbar and place under each front tire and move it up and down. Watch for any slack motion in the upper and lower ball joints. They should be tight with no vertical motion ...
