COMET CENTRAL

seems to me a 390 is way to small for a big V8,,,,but what ever works !!!!! I was thinking the adver on the 390 said 305 ci or smaller,,but it's been many yrs since I bought mine,,in fact it cost less then 200 dollars,,,they cost way more today....pop

I might have,,but not sure....I might have not known what I was looking at.....I sure like the 390,,,A friend of mine ran one on a 300ci 6cyl with headers and alumn intake in a 79 ford 4whl dr...it was great.....my son came up with a 4 bbl alumn intake for a 2.3 4cyl ford,,,we put it on a race engin...

I have a bone stock 302 right down to single exhaust like factory,,,can't hardly hear it running,,,,so if you decide to go 4 bbl,,,this is the path I took on my 77 bronco,,I got a ci stock intake for a 4bbl,,best I recall it's actually a 66 289 intake,,then I used a 390cfm holly 4bbl,,has the kick d...

put on a 350 holly 2bbl..save the money and work of going the 4bbl route,,,,,JMO,,,,but if I could repair what I have already on it...that's the best idea,,,,always think about the purpose of the car!again this is JMO......good luck pop

I read 4 drs are just about all you get down there,,,and most had shades in the back glass,,,,pop

So many babyboomers ,now have grd and grt grd kids the 4 dr is more practial,,I have been around some mighty fast 4 drs....it was awful to get out run by grd ma's grocery getter....I read a article about a man who ordered a mopar,,it was a hemi-pwrd 4 spd,,,but it was in a 4dr sedan,,,she hauled kid...

looks good,,that's my favorite coat of paint..when it's not hardly there.....paint is not dependable,but the mechanical shape is....good luck pop

And a lot of times,,the aprasil will upset you,,these old cars are worth what ever you can get someone to pay you for it....and they will always be worth more to you....JMO...so build it your way,,,drive the fire out of it and don't loose your mind over a scratch or ding,,,,pop
