I had a 63 Peugeot 404 which was stylistically and performance wise literally the "57 Chevy of France" ... . The Hemi 4 cylinder - Odd pattern 4...

Re: Drum Hub Removal
The OEM lugs on drum side also are 'swedged' (sp?) but since drums are not being re-used the damage to them isn't critical. Knocking out the lugs from the hubs enlarges the lugs' bore and can make new lugs fit- loose ... https://i.postimg.cc/MfnsXfF3/IMG-0163.jpg . https://i.postimg.cc/kDF1fM4P/IMG_...

I'm not advocating but it is an inexpensive simple conversion to front disc brakes is available from "Scarebird Mechanical: I 'run Scarebird' 4 lug discs on '61 Comet. AFAIK Maverick 4 lug and 5 lug are same width ... ... the early 2" springs fit Maverick pads without mod': Maverick 2-1/2" U-Bolts and the Maverick bottom plates can be used. Some wallow out the smaller early axle plates to fit. The Maverick's staggered shocks needed rear facing shock hanger (left) ...

Re: Maverick rear
My '61 Comet has a '71 Maverick 4 lug 8" rear and fit with no modifications. The Maverick wheels have less offset -(stick a little further out) than the early 4 lugs. The Maverick rear will work but modern wider tires may require wheels with more offset or other solutions. I radiused the rear wheel ...

Re: Exhaust Manifold for 71 Comet with 3.3L 200CID
The small block six 200/250 Exhaust Manifold for 71 Comet is available from multiple vendors. The problem is the 70's Maverick/Comet applications are usually lacking or non-exixtant. the later Mustang applications 69-73 for 250 will be same as 200 with possible minor emission related differences.
