the latch is too tight or not lined up correctly. New weather strip can cause the tightness.

Re: BRAKE FLUID
DOT 5 will work in your car but it definitely does not mix with 3. The 5 is desirable if everything is detailed and you still want the paint to be there when you're done. Everything should be new if you switch to 5 but we have successfully rinsed the old 3 out of a system by pumping it out and addin...

Re: Break-In Oil
Brad Penn,or Joe Gibbs Driven break in oil,no extra additives.A little costly but well worth it. The key here is to get your timing set right and the carb full of fuel so the motor starts instantly.

dual fours ARE impressive,Eds not quite as much as Holleys. The Eds are probably drilled for square bore and Holleys will probably fit if you're so inclined.

the rear end ratio would be a problem. What rpm is your idle? Too high with that ratio can cause problems. Did you have the flywheel resurfaced?

Re: Epoxy Primer/Sealer
To add to what Lou said...a short story about Summit paint. I had a car I was just going to stick a motor in it,shoot on a cheap coat of paint and drive it.With me,it's always a little more complicated. It ended up down to the bare metal and I shot it with Summit epoxy primer. There was a few easy fi...

Re: Subframe connectors
I put a set of Tinman connectors on a Fox body.Very nice indeed.Fit perfect. I did find out that overhead welding can be dangerous without the proper clothing

Re: Epoxy Primer/Sealer
The Summit stuff works pretty good.Obviously not top drawer but for a budget deal you really cant beat it. It's made by Kirker which is respectable. The mixing, technique, and gun will be a big factor

When there's no way you can forger, you do forget. Put stuff in bags and mark the contents....it better be a full description or you can't figure out what you meant to write or as in my case, can't read my own writing.

Re: Fixing a dent in my rocker panel, or not
They are heavy gauge like mentioned Dent pulling pins will most likely just pull holes in the metal where welded or break off without doing anything, What I do is weld a ,lets say,a 1 inch wide piece of flat 10 gauge steel perpendicular to the dent. The piece has a 7/16 hole towards the outside Find...

Re: C4 trans leaking
Converter seals like to leak if the car has sat for a long time but many of them heal themselves after they're back on the road.I will routinely replace the seal on a rebuilt trans as a precaution if it has sat on the shelf for a number of years. I believe you mean the front pump seal. There are no...
