Re: 3x2 manifold

I’d go with the 1.08 carbs, Pat. I had forgotten the vague details on your engine but the Blue Thunder looks to have larger ports than the old manifolds. Most of the old ones like the Offy didn’t really flow that well compared to modern single carb designs.

The first time I made no bean chili for my father in law he said “I don’t know what this is but it isn’t chili”.
 That’s what initially threw me on to the tamale stuffing.
My Mex friends concoction very similar to first pic.

Merry Christmas!

In bed with influenza so no cars pics. Thankful for one of my sons coming down. We’re helping each other’s holiday.

Now I am thinking of grabbing one while they are still relatively cheap.
I would love to have Wendell's CJ engine for a truck application.
He ran a 390 Holley on it and I bet it never saw 3K rpm after he stroked it.

Re: Interesting about the 460

Kasse's been developing the Boss 9 platform out to big displacement for a few years now. His engines are currently ruling A Gas class in SEGA competition. I would love to visit his shop next time I visit my oldest son. He lives about 20 miles from Kasse HQ. Thanks for sharing, Fred. I have an old fr...

I have seen pictures over the years, but never that much info on it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks to Hemmings, Boss. Most trusted in the industry, IMO.
I didn't know it was a re-bodied Cobra. Need to do deep dive into Bordinat/Shelby collaboration.

I’d like to know what is the red car on the opening page. Did a few searches no luck.

We must have been perusing the same websites yesterday.
Saw this but didn't dig too deep. I like the downloadable brochures 👍

if I use a mustang top loader would that mount work?
Mustang shifter mounts where the tailhousing necks down.
Measure the Comet/Falcon location back to that point, should get you in the ballpark.

It’s a real thing. Helps to kill some of the acidity. Try it some time.
A cup of red wine will do the same thing. Extra points for venison 👍

Re: 3x2 manifold

Only way I would install that on a 260 is disable the outboard carbs. Then it's all eye candy and nothing more.
BTW- Miller made more horsepower on the dyno w/ Autolite 4100 than the 6V set-up!

Re: 3x2 manifold

The Tri-Power setups were selling for over $3K new before Covid hit. It''s a drag the ports aren't photographed well. This could make a good induction piece on a cammed-up stroker w/ a good set of heads. The question is, is there enough meat to take the ports out to match the heads? Would need to ma...
