so I got the actual part number for the park light housing C5GY-13200-1A can someone with a parts inter change book please cross reference the park lamp To see if any other model or year other than 65 uses them.

After much research I decided to go for the TCI front IFS and rear 4link. As i posted earlier .so far no one makes a specific kit for the 65 Comet so i am using the Falcon kit. I havent decided on gears or convertor yet,I may switch to an AOD trans as i do plan on going on some 300 mile road trips to car events.and with that I can perhaps have the best of both worlds..insert evil laugh.

thanks for every ones suggestions on heads and cams (see earlier post on camshaft and Head selection I have decided that AFR heads are the winners hands down so they have been ordered. after much thought i went with the 165 cc 58cc alsoI have also ordered a Howards cam 220255-10 which is 231/in 235 ...

i Poboy thanks for your input, Sounds Like Rocket 989 is correct with the FICE as being F 90,s and 1 being X1 so 1991 which coincides with your link as the design year and the 9DI6 Casting number being 99 April 16 as the year it was cast. as you can see by the picture the FICE is not clear and may b...

SO at risk if beating a dead horse here apparently the 302 has a design year of 1991 and a cast date of 1999 then it must be for a vehicle 1999 or later. I know a 302 is approximately 5.0 litres but is there a windsor block 302 and then another block style known as the 5.0 ? Some info on the net say...

Yes it appears to say LO in large letters adjacent to FICE or FIDE (less likely but its hard to read ) aswell as 11352118 in the front right corner on the oil pan surface.This may be a partial Vin I do not have the original heads or manifold.If need be i will upload better pictures when I can as i a...

I have a fully machined 302 Roller block that doesnt have numbers cast in the usual spot behind the starter it does have what appears to be the "CASTING DATE" 9DI6 cast into it .It may be 1979 April 16 but i am not sure .Extensive internet and book searching doesnt reveal anything espesially without...

I am just starting what will be a long and complete restoration and would like a warm fuzzy on how straight things are.it does have rebuilt status so at some point it has been in an accident. The left front fender and inner fender have been replaced.

Has anyone installed the Heidts or TCI or any other 4 link kit in a 65?
Neither offer specific kits and A TCI dealer said the Falcon one would fit with somw mods.
