Re: ‘64 East African Safari car
It’s good to settle it!! I’ve read a lot both ways on the 81 car....neat. It does look like a number of things have been updated to keep it race legal as time’s gone by. I’ve always wondered if all the cars originally had the hood/ top of front fenders done in black. I can’t remember definitively, b...

Re: Seeking Steering Box
They’re the same. Verify it’s fir your Comet with at least casting/date code & the tag (if present) will help also. Approach any in car adjustments with A LOT of caution. You can loosen the nut & tighten in quarter-turn increments. I wouldn’t go past a quarter turn period. Check to make sure the box...

Re: Gear Vendors C4 Trans
I'd give 'em a call. I thought (famous last words) that on C4's the GV unit largely replaced the tail shaft... It's been awhile since I read-up on 'em though.

Re: 65 Comet with 390
Definitely “full”! More room than I would’ve thought though. I can’t remember, but Crites doesn’t say anything regarding 385 series BB’s & the kit do they?
Looks like headers could be made to fit but I wouldn’t volunteer for plug changes...

Right-on Mike!!!   You’ve been busting ass; check one big box!! ETA: I’ve got a huge noggin so I gotta chuckle every time I read about a large cranium getting stuffed somewhere. Even catch it from the twin brother whose dome, while still large, is marginally smaller. Sucks ...

The brake lines, master cyl. & clutch master, etc. look fantastic Dan! So you used 2-lb. residual valves on both front & rear?

Re: Electric Fan or Not
The Drake ABS “deep” shroud will fit with the original Mustang style mounting brackets. You do need to step up one on the size though...e.g. use the 3-row brackets for 2-row aluminum rad., and so on. I used a Champion 2-row with the 3-row mounts brackets on Drake shroud. Trimmed it as need with a co...

Re: Trying to stop straight!
Here's a good pic I found on the Interwebz. I remember noting a difference when looking at parts for the 64.5 'Stang I had. I'm pretty sure the Comet has a marking on the brake pedal arm where it would have been drilled & pivot stud pressed had it come with power brakes. https://s25.postimg.cc/wpujw...
