Re: OT. Help when you can
The hospitals are short on lots of PPE. My employer sent are N95 masks to the local hospital. My daughter works in a different town in medical imaging. Her department had 2 safety glasses and one face shield they were sharing and they ex-ray covid-19 patients everyday. I looked though my volunteer b...

Re: New Terminology
All good here, lots to do on the house, shop and car. I just came in from the shop. For the first time ever my car wouldn't start. My MSD box died, it was suspect last year. Luckily I have a couple spares, different style so had to do some rewire. It stopped raining so move the comet out and put some...

I'm quarantined as I had contact with a contractor that had contact with someone that tested positive for covid-19.

Re: Cooling fan blade
I also ran a 5 blade flex fan that I got from a 390 for years with a shroud. It worked great except for cooling in between rounds racing or idling on real hot days. Good luck

Re: Cooling fan blade
I have not had an engine driven fan blade for over 10 years. I know guys that use pusher fans like yours and no engine fan. I use a dual blade puller. I put in on an old rad and worked good. When i put in an aluminum rad it works great. The aluminum rads work way better than any old 60s rad. My sugg...

Re: Lavron's '64 Build Thread
The repair looks good. I ended up just using fiberglass and filler on mine.

Re: This thread is devoted to neat and unusual signatures!
While my wife was out of town on a girls weekend I posted a pic on Facebook of myself on naked garden day. Fred that was my excuse to her. In my defence I was left unsupervised so she got me a t-shirt with that saying.

Re: Engine Building Ideas
Compression ratio near 10 to 1 should work good. I'm running pump gas in mt street/strip comet, which is 94 octane. Just over 10 to 1. The timing chain- make sure you index the crank and cam when building the motor. Make sure 0 degrees is top dead on #1. I got burned as a teenager by installing a ne...

Re: Bill's still at it!!
I traded Bill for the 331 rotating assembly out of the comet he rolled in Port Alberni for a set of doors for his new comet. Later I gave him a wiring harness and tail lights. The old comet was running 11.30s the day it rolled. Bill's comet inspired me in my late teens and early 20s to buy a 65. Rog...
