351W heads are no good for you!! You would need a piston with a dome to get any compression back,and custom head bolts as the 351W uses 1/2 bolts where other SBFs used 7/16!I do not believe you could shave then enough to get back to 54 CC!! ROY.

Just about everything you need is available new,repopped,the metal and dash you will need to find!! Most Cyclone parts are the same as a CALIENTE!! ROY.

I have had my 65 COMET completely apart,more than once,NEVER found a build sheet!! My Comet had 20,000 miles on it,never been apart until I started the build in 1969 or 70!! ROY.

The factory trim rusts easily,and it will keep rusting even if you keep after it!! RATS/MICE are nasty little animals,can do A LOT of damage!! ROY.

WOW'happy to hear you found the title,that could have turned into a nightmare!!!It sounds like you have a good plan set up for your COMET!If the red is like my blue interior,the dash,inside of doors,window trim,is a flattened color,mine is darker blue,but I think the red is the same as exterior only...

Stay after that title,should save you time and trouble later!!You will not find better Quality parts than those from Jake at Comet/Falcon Interiors!!You may find cheaper,but that is what you will get,CHEAP CRAP!! If you go a color cahange,try to do EVERYTHING,ALL the jambs,inside the trunk,etc.!! JM...
