Re: My first 1964 Caliente/Comet project
K code on a '64 Comet is the basic 210 hp 4 barrel 289. NOT 225hp and definitely not the 271hp version. Mustang was the only model that the "K" meant the engine was the 271hp version. 1964 Cyclone's used the same engine(210hp) except they added the appereance package which included chrome valve cov...

Re: Headliners - differences?
Doug, I haven't pulled out my head liner yet, but I have dents to take out of the roof. Is there an inner skin under the roof or can you take the dents out of the roof easily ?

Re: 64 Comet windshield trim
I actually do have a plater near by,I know they hate doing pot metal, in fact they ruined a 4 speed shift plate out of my Galaxie and those little suckers aren't cheap. What you said is exactly what I planned on doing, that way I don't have to pay them to do the sanding.

Re: 64 Comet windshield trim
Thanks Roy, Is it worth it to have the chrome removed and then I can sand down the pieces and have them re-chromed, or is it cheaper to buy inside trim(if you can find it ?) I became quite apt at polishing aluminum and stainless when I restored my 64 Galaxie, but all the trim inside was mostly stainl...

Re: Opinions needed for restoration
Seen people fix a lot worse, depends on how comfortable you are with some fabricating and welding. But definitely do able. I used a cheap bead roller from summit and made my floors. The rails aren't that hard to form. I would think it is worth saving Lou Thanks Lou, We're gonna give it all we got !...
