Re: signal light switch?

Bought mine on Ebay ..forgot the sellers name. It was a NOS part in the Motorcraft box. I think it was 70s or 80s stock. Bolted right in and has been working great. I try to stay away from repro electrical parts if I can. That was for my 65..I believe 64 switches are the low-tech kind...right?...

Re: Spring Perch Measurement center to center? 65 Comet

Big power in the future? 9" rear.
Stock to 400 or so HP I believe an 8" would suffice.
Used 8" rear out of a 64-65 Falcon/Comet/Ranchero would work. Build to your specs.

Re: 65 carburetor

What is the correct stock carburetor for a '65 cyclone? I think that by 65 the Autolite 4100 1.08 venturi carbs were all carrying the "C5ZF-*" (*- letter that would designate the specific usage like auto or manual etc) ; as opposed to the "C4GF-*" numbers for 64. "G" designates Comet..."Z" indicate...

Re: Almost won again!!

I can only dream of that!!!! It is 21/2 to 3 hour tow over the mountains to get to Famoso[Bakersfield],our last 1/4 mile track in So.CA.!!There used to be at least 10 1/4 mile tracks within a 3 hour radius from me back until the 70s to 80s !!! ROY. Roy looks like Willow Springs is doing drag racing...

Re: New Engine

Whoa! You wouldnt think a 351W installation would create so much havoc. Sounds like you got it whipped Roy. You think a stroked 302 (347) would be a better route if someone wanted to go more cubes but remain stock in the engine compartment? More cubes is on my long list for the future...as well as a...

Re: wheels and tires (dead hrse i knw)

I think for a 15" wheel you'd be better off with a shorter 60 series tire. For clearance as well as aesthetics. As far as the width...as much meat as will fit. My car is stock and the biggest I can go on the fronts is 205/60-15. Thats with a 3 3/4" backspace on a 15x7 wheel. 215s on the rear but I t...
