Does the 65 box need to be from a v8 car or were they all the same? And do I need a new column to go with my new box? Thanks guys for a...

I want to put 65 steering in my 63. Is there a kit you can buy that has the required parts? Or do I need to try to source all the part...

Re: '63 swap and rebuild questions..
Wow, so it's possible that the same crossmember from my FM2 could bolt up to a c4? That would save some effort and $ if it worked.. I was planning to order a crossmember and rubber pad this week.. More questions and I know I sound like an idiot, I'm used to bolting the engine to the trans and plopp...

Re: Costa Mesa Comet
Thanks for the welcome all! This is really a great car to cruise around southern California.. Although it is amazing how much attention it gets just driving around the neighborhood. I met a guy from down the street who told me he built these at the LA plant, and asked me where mine was made.. I tol...

Re: Monte Carlo Bar
Nope...the Comet eng compt is too narrow. You can cut and weld but the Comet-specific bars are cheap enough:

Re: build or buy?
Buy it buy it buy it!! Sell your project..sell the parts and buy that thing! But you should get them down to $15-16K first. The listing says it has 500hp and a 8 inch rear  Maybe that can be a good price negotiating point on the need to upgrade to 9". (But looking at the pics it looks like it...

My 64 comet has always been a crowd getter,,every where it goes,is it the color, the 2 4's,the gear drive whine,rumbty-rumb cam I don't know. But I do know a few yrs back,at one of our monthly cruise in's.When we left one of the local loud mouth Camaro boys jumped on me with his 396..I put it on him,...

Re: Comets
Gotta get that issue. Old rusty cars are a finite resource..perhaps even our side-lined beloved step-child Comets will (someday) actually be interesting to other than Blue Oval faithful and drag fiends.
