Forest Fire
Forest Fire
You would think I would learn after making it through two forest fires in the last 20 years that I would move out of the sticks. Guess I just love it out here. Now there's another one knocking at the back door. I'm preying that it turns but it is headed toward the canyon below me. If it gets in it I'll be headed out of here.
Got to go wish me luck,
Matt

Heard on the radio the Aussies arrived today. I'm doing my rain dance! We're not too dry here but other parts of the province sure are.

Re: Forest Fire
Well so far so good for me can't say the same for some of my friends.
I didn't evacuate on Tuesday morning like they wanted me to. I desided to stick around and get the place in even better shape for when or if the fire burned threw here.
As of right now it looks like it is going to miss me. Definitely one of the biggest fires in this area most of the main towns are still evacuated.
Detwiler fire as of this morning 70,000acres,45 buildings 10% contained.

Re: Forest Fire
We sure are . & we were getting worried, so thanks for checking in. Yesterday I googled the city in your signature & read where the whole town was evacuated.albert wrote:Hang in there! Were thinking of you and praying.
Re: Forest Fire
Well I'm almost out of the woods. Fire is to the north east of me on the other side of the river. They lifted the evac. order right at the wrong side of my driveway!! I had to do some major sweet talking to the lady officer so I could make a beer run!! To tell you the truth I'm sure it was becuse of my dog Luna. I can say for a fact I'm not eating another bean or anything to do with tuna fish for at lest 6 months and maybe forever This is a picture towards town Wednesday at noon I thought for sure it was burning sounded like a war going on over there. But town was never touched by the fire. More later.
Thanks for all the prayers.
