Looks like a 64 with 65 fenders. 64 cali side spears and instruments. Nice work but it’s not a restoration.

Yeah, it's just a 64 with a 65 front clip on it. Triston, who used to be on here a good bit, did the same thing. But the salesman seemed to think he had a "restored" 64 Comet. I'd like to hear what he would have to say about Ron's Comechero.

IMO, Theres a little more to it, the front fenders have been grafted. 64 on the sides to pickup the Caliente trim then 65 front and top to pickup headlight doors and hood.
Not saying I'm a fan but well executed.
Fred
Probably came by a 65 glass hood and that started it.
Speaking from a hacker point of view😗

Fred that's a metal hood someone must have made it. the scoops are just a tad higher, openings are a tad different. but the dead give away is when he slams it shut, have another listen,,,it's definitely metal ringing . it is well done. I like both years so I dont hate it but i wouldn't have sunk that many dollars into a car with wrong front clip. but it is still cool !!! nice color!!!

I went back and looked at the vid a second time, and I agree with you. More than just a front clip swap. I missed the second body contour under the arrow trim the first time. A lot of creative body work into the front end of that car. The guy must have liked everything about the 64's lines, but preferred the 65's stacked lights. Must have been a coon hunter instead of a rabbit chaser.

I was checking out that fabbed intake for the Holley and that 10' shifter
That must be like ape-hangers on a Harley
Wonder if Ed Roth had anything to do with that design

Agreed a restoration would have '64 front end and look nicer that way  it is a nice car but either they don't know it has a '65 front clip or avoid mentioning it for some reason :? probably because it detracts from the cars value IMO
