‘64 Thunderbolt replica
‘64 Thunderbolt replica
This will be on the block tomorrow (10/16/21) at the Mecum auction in Chattanooga, TN.
If I were to build one it would be like this except for a couple of details, over all this is a very well done example, big power, sits right, tasteful colors.

Re: ‘64 Thunderbolt replica
Wonder how many horsepower this would pull with more compression and race fuel?
Looks like a very expensive and dangerous street build.

It looks like FUN to me! I’m sure it would look good sitting next to my Cyclone in my shop.

Dangerous, as in 'land-in-jail' dangerous on the street. Make one heck of a strip car w/ compression bump.
Yes, you would have a great complimentary pair of '64s!

Reckon I'm turning into a old curmudgeon
Heck, my Comet has half the horsepower and I don't drive it in traffic anymore.
Need a local track.

I realize the history of those cars but really not a fan of the style. The later 66-7 done as a Mario tribute would be more exciting for me.

Owned a '66 Fairlane 500 2drht roller years ago that was a project never finished.
Had a 390, C-6, 428CJ heads, big cam and Duraspark ignition in the shed. Found a GT junkyard car and robbed the 9 inch, front & rear springs, engine mounts, swapped it all out. Wife was hospitalized for months, had to part it all out to pay bills. A drag racer from Florida was visiting relatives here and caught my local ad in the paper. Hauled the roller home on a trailer.
