Did they ever build this?

Post by Comatt »

Hey guys, went to the autorama in Detroit today and saw this car. Did they ever build a 67 cougar convertible? If so not sure I’ve ever seen one but it looks pretty cool!

I believe that is a 1969 Cougar, the first year a convertible was offered as well as the coupe.
‘67 and ‘68 Cougars were not offered as drop tops.

That is not a 67 Cougar. The body lines on the side are of a 69/70 Cougar. Considerably different than a 67/68. If you had a front shot we could tell the exact year as 69 the grille goes all the way across and 70 has a split grille.
1965 Mercury Cyclone former drag car, 1971 Boss 351 engine, 4 speed, ladder bars, etc. Now returned to a street car.
