Cars and Coffee in Grass Valley CA. Every Saturday morning. About 100 cars today... only 1 Comet. :)
Lucky to live in an area with a lot of classic/cool cars.

I really enjoy those types of gatherings.
Come n go, check stuff out, meet up with someone.
No dust collecting trophys blah blah.
Had to Google earth Grass Valley. Was close once long ago. Came down I 80 headed for San Fran. Went to the Winchester Mansion that trip and on to Disney.
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

I sincerely believe that the whole country is loaded with cool cars. Everywhere me and my wife travel we check out little shows here and there. The hobby is thriving. There is a cruise in a town a few miles from me, population of 6000 and they turn out 600-800 classic cars every month when they have there cruise.
1965 Mercury Cyclone former drag car, 1971 Boss 351 engine, 4 speed, ladder bars, etc. Now returned to a street car.

That's a smart little town rustling up some income to help their economy. I betcha the Mayor is a car guy :D
Small town like this 30 miles South of me, Mayor is old Mustang drag racer. Sold him a pair of Cobra Jet heads long time ago. Has a machine shop, is die-hard FoMoCo guy. Once a year, several hundred classics from around the region come out.

I just remembered why we went that way. Was mid 80s I wanted to stop at the auto museum at a casino in Reno. Anyway at this place one of the 100,000 mile endurance record holder 64s was on display. Well, some upset,,, missed the display by a week I think. The museum was being downsized, bunch a stuff was gone. Still neat stuff to see but not what I was there for.

Wow, Fred! That would have been cool to see one of the endurance cars up close and personal.
Funny you should mention it, the big car show here is @ a casino as well.

More cars today with the Comet population doubling! :) The Skyliner is immaculate; the 64 Comet is really nice with a built up 289 and 4 speed; we all know about the red one in the background. :)

This Starliner is amazing! I want the guy to adopt me as his only child! It has a 428, 4 wheel disc brakes and a ton of other goodies.

No other pics of the '64. There are actually two '64 Comets nearby. The other is a red convertible. Last I saw it he had recently run into a bear and damaged the front passenger fender/headlight assembly. It might be out of commission getting repairs.
