For you scale model car fans

Post by A/FX »

I found this interesting site that offers decal kits for building 1/25th replica race cars. They offer many different types of racing but the super stock drag race category seems interesting:

This one I find to be particularly interesting because it is the local to me A/FX Comet that provided the hood that I pulled a mold from to make the hood that is on my Cyclone.

The some of photos of the Tom Coward Comet were taken in front of and inside the shop of Joel Kanois soon after he bought the car from the Coward dealership in 1965. The drag racing photo might have been taken at the Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove Wisconsin which is close to Joel’s shop and with in ear shot of where I live.

I bought one of the plastic model kits a few years back when it came available but never assembled it. Those decals kits are pretty cool.
