Check the ground wire to coil and the condenser.

I hate to fire the parts canon at stuff before checking everything I can. Have you checked the distributor cap, and do you have an ignition module? These are a few I can think of, seeing you used good wires etc, off your 66. Man I hate electrical gremlins 😬

Glad you got 'er done. Those ground wires are flimsy and go bad when they get old. Replaced an original one on a Comet couple years ago.

Joe,you are right about the coil to points ground wire being flimsy, the one i took off was limber as a string, and it tested bad , but the new one i put on was much stiffer

IM GOING TO HAVE TO PUT A FUEL PUMP ON IT.I FILLED A DRIPPER BOTTLE AND HUNG IT ON THE HOOD AND LET IT DRIP IN THE CARB.I LET IT IDLE USING THE DRIPPER FOR 2 OR 3 MINUTES AND THE FUEL PUMP NEVER STARTED PUMPING.GOOD OIL PRESSURE,JUST NO FUEL PRESSURE.

Are you trying to pump fuel through the stock fuel lines, sending unit, and gas tank?

If truck has been sitting for a long time then there could be problems with the lines, tank, filter, or sending unit.

I would run a fuel line directly from the pump into a gas can or clean container with gas, bypassing the rest of the stuff, before I write off the pump. You could have a broken line, clogged fuel filter, something going on in the tank or with the sending unit/pickup.

Lou's entirely correct.

Plumb the pump inlet to a boat tank, disconnect the fuel line from the carb & see if she pumps.
I'm sure the carb needs cleaning out & a kit most likely.

thats what i did.i used a dripper bottle to feed the carb while i ran the fuel line from the pump into a can.new line from pump and a new filter did not help it start working im going to run a boat tank into the fuel pump to see if it will pull the gas out of the boat gas tank.
