Bye to my 351C
Bye to my 351C
Back in early april Brian Guggenmos a long time member of CC and I met in Osoyoos BC to do a little tradin.
He brought me a pair of 64 front fenders and folding dough and I brought my storied 351C, toploader and assorted goodies.
I realized it was time to let it go and I couldn't think of anyone who would appreciate it more than Brian.
I first met Brian at a drag race in Mission BC in 2012. He and Roy Pool pulled up, Roy from California and Brian from just outta Olympia Wa. with their matching baby blue 65 hardtops for an all Ford race weekend. Some other wanna bes also showed though, lol.
Roy running a 408 4 speed 10.30 car and Brian running a 351C toploader somewhere in the 11s.
Marilyn and I drove Sassy out to watch, take part in the shownshine and catch a meal with our son and girlfriend who lived an hour away.
The weekend was a great time some pics of which I have posted in the past.
So anyway I realize it was a good decision cause I haven't regretted the sale or missed it,, its a closed book.
I'll repost a few pics from that weekend soon.

Re: Bye to my 351C
Those temps look similar to ours. Just jacked that 34% humidity up to around 70% to 80%, and we’ll be even.

90% here this morning, highs in low 90s today. Great for crops, terrible for cars.
You guys ought to visit New Orleans in September @ least once.
I dig the Mercury Comet trailer

Yes Roy had the trailer really neat. It was set up so he could spend 3 or so nights in it at the big race meets with a cot, sink, cooler, and a little shower setup.
Pulled it all with a newer white F350 dually,, cool rig!
