Re: '64 Cyclone on BaT
Wouldn’t you know a Cyclone shows up on one of the only mornings I did not read BAT.
It looks like a nice car, I will study the pictures later.

I'm surprised I beat you to the punch on this one
Picked up on it via e-mail notification from BaT. It appears to be a beautiful car.

I receive the daily emails also but for some reason did not look at the new auctions, I did scan the results from yesterday.

Re: '64 Cyclone on BaT
I looked through the photos, nice car. It looks like the owner spent some time and money on it. I seen a couple of items that are interesting, one being in pictures #45 & #39. I have never seen a trim screw in the A pillar trim before this. It maybe possible that the installer had issues keeping the trim in place.
There were no photos of the underside showing the steering, being it has power steering it almost a given that the slave cylinder has a leak. (Speculation)
It’s at 20k right now so it may bring some serious cash by the end of the auction.

Sold @ $50K!
My hopes are that the Comet becomes as recognized as the Falcon and model specific parts become available.

Re: '64 Cyclone on BaT
I really did not think it would sell for that much. BAT does seem to draw bidders who are willing to bid above and beyond. Maybe the new owner will find this forum and join the conversation.Joe Travers wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 3:23 pmSold @ $50K!

Mecum is drawing over $50K for '64 Cyclones lately, as well. Dealers are also scooping up private sells and flipping cars for a handsome profit.
I ran into this two years ago when I was looking for another '65 Cyclone. Contacted a private seller w/ a totally restored one within driving distance to inspect, put out email contact. Waited a couple weeks w/ no reply. Found the car in a dealer showroom using the same pictures the private seller had online. They didn't lift a finger and doubled their money
