Finally replaced front shocks today. Had to take chisel and hammer to a shock tower nut that was spinning. Popped out the remains of the bolt and pleasantly surprised it was a SS carriage bolt. Didn't have to wait on the flathead stock ones I ordered. If anyone needs a set, send me a PM and I'll give 'em to you.

l may look at changing my front shocks eventually to a pair of crown Vic adjustable ones I have non adjustable Checker cab shocks on there but Ihad to remove the bar pins from them I think Crown Vic ones would bolt on unmodified just have to get the correct adjustable shock from KYB, I don’t think the rears need to be adjustable at least at this time
Glad to hear it worked out for you.I am not in the need of the bolts you have my front shock mounts are far from stock :?

I am sanding my comet down to bare metal. The rotisserie is a blessing for doing that. I almost have the body done. The 1965 paint and primer are coming off hard! When ready it gets a heavy coat of epoxy primer followed by two heavy coats of high build sandable primer. Then I can start the bodywork.

i have my nx nitrous kit layed out on the table,putting the plate and solenoids together.taking my time with this stuff.i think i will start off with the 100 shot.kit goes from 100-250 in 50 hp increments.i wont go past a 150 shot.my pistons are good for 300,but the rest of my engine would not stand for that much,so 150 will be my limit

Thanks for telling me,I never would have thought of that but yes I've heard the term but I never would have thought anyone would think anything bout cocaine by looking at a 8ball shifter knob,

even one in a leather jacket. :lol:

i put a spal electric fan on my comet rad,and i installed a buse box under the hood and wired my fan and nitrous grounds to it.all i like is my wide open throttle switch and activation buttons,and getting my bottle filled.im using the wot switch instead of the push button.that way if i have to let off during a shift change,[4 speed] the nitrous will shut off,and i wont have to worry about letting off the button.

I took a load of brightwork to the chromer and picked some up. I gathered up my 4 core radios and I think I can come up with one good one by picking the best parts of the four. While picking up the materials for an oil change the counter guy put me on to a shop that works on them so I am working to check that box.
Where can I get a Hurst shifter for my stock T-10 like the one in po-boys post a couple posts ago?

There's a guy on here some,see him on fb quite often. name is Bruce ,last name is Dodds . he always buying & selling shifters & parts. do you just need the arm or the shifter mechanism ,arm,rods & all? If he dont have it he can find it faster than anyone. I'll see if I can find him.

here is his fb page;

Thanks a lot, I have the stock original complete but it is worn. If my brackets and rods would work with the Hurst shifter I wouldn't need the complete unit.

Thanks John: I never joined the FB and I can't access the referral that way. Perhaps I will try something else.

Here's a great tutorial on rebuilding the Hurst-

I've contacted Paul on T-10 issues and he's very knowledgeable.

You should be able to pick up a used one for a decent price and restore, if necessary.
