Post by SASSY »

well our Winter Escape is over, theyre golfing at
home so north we go.
started out up through LA yesterday and out the
101 to Roys for lunch,,,but not without a scare,, it
quit runnin on the freeway!!!
farted with it and away it went,,,it s
sputtered once more but we made it.
after lunch we stopped at napa but didnt have
what i think i need.
We decided continue and made it to Pismo Beach.
this morning i phoned around,, nla anywhere!!!!!
So, ,, we Hit the road, stopped at Gilroy for the day
Car ran good it just got hot outside plus we are close to
San Fran and didnt want to deal with rush hour.
We are only planning to get to the Napa Valley tomorrow.

During certain times of the year the smell of garlic drifts all the way to Santa Clara and we smell it for days. When the Garlic Festival is going on in Gilroy I hear they make everything with garlic. Can't imagine garlic flavored ice cream. Yuk!
Some pretty country you are passing through in the wine country. Enjoy.

didnt have any but sure smelt good!
Yes Ron really look forward to this part of the trip.
made it up to Fortuna today, Oregon coast tomorrow.
the car stalled again today, removed the gas cap
there was some air pressure in the tank.
it refired and away we went????
Can't really tell if its fuel or electronic, just as long as
It keeps restarting.

Some pretty country up that way. And of course you'll probably think something is wrong with the car when it doesn't shake and bounce like on our roads. Stop at the Seven Feathers Casino on your way through southern Oregon. Good food and who knows you might get lucky.
You said it quit and you had pressure when you took the cap off. And then it started again. Are you sure the vent isn't plugged and that is a vacuum you are hearing not pressure. Vacuum in the tank means it cant get gas to the engine. Might try driving with the cap loose or off.
Mt St Helens is a nice sight to see. Even the drive to get there is scenic.
Enjoy the trip.
