Rear Wheel lip moulding

Post by cyclonbrian »

All,

My Caliente is missing the rear wheel well lip moulding. I cannot find them online for the life of me. Question. Do you think the rear wheel lip moulding for a 1966 ford fairline would fit a 1966 mercury caliente? I can find those no problem.

Thanks

Brian

It would probably fit since they share the same basic body, but if the lower/rocker trim is different between the two cars it probably won't fit correctly where it meets that. The wheel lip trim can be interchanged between a 65 Cyclone and 65 Cali, but neither will mate up properly to the rocker moulding, or in the case of the Cali, the front or rear quarter mouldings.

Thank you for the response. I will look deeper into the rocker moulding.

Hello,

Not anymore. I got some for a 66 fairlane and they were a perfect match.

Thank you
