66 GT Valve Cover Emblems

Post by Lakeview »

Working on restoring my 66 390 Cyclone GT valve cover emblems. Does anyone have a picture or know the color highlights that these came with from the dealer.

Interesting that you ask about valve cover emblems. Bought my 66 Cyclone GT in August, 1966 and the valve covers were plain. Nothing on them at all. Why do you think you should have emblems?

I don't know what your car came with, but everyone of these I have seen that was mostly original had the emblems. Here is an article about an unrestored barn find showing the emblems on the valve covers. I'd love to hear more about your 66, could be a unique or late year car that was different? By August of 1966 the 67's would be in production. Guess it depends on how long your car was on the lot if it were late production.
