My drag racing '65 Caliente

Post by HardLimit »

Its been a long time since I've posted here. In fact I had to re register.
Anyways I thought I'd share a couple of pics and a video of my Comet. I started building this car 8 years ago and just this year finally ironed out clutch issues.
Quick info is it is completely home built less the Oakley BBF. It has a Clutchless Liberty Equalizer and recently has gone 5.13 @137.7 at CID and 8.15 @ 166.8 at Great Lakes Dragaway.

Nice hook up off the line! :)

Looks like your T-bolt buddy is getting a little reckless, there. LOL

That is one mean looking Comet! Very nice. Since you ran at “‘Da Grove” you must be near me, I am close enough to hear them on a quiet night.

I just saw your comet on Facebook. It looks awesome. What kind of front suspension did you use?

That's an awesome car! My first 65 was ivy gold also, then I painted it a dark green. Looking back wish I would have left it the ivy gold. When did you race at CID? They have open and closed a few times over the years. I have raced there several times also, but it has been 5 or more years since I was last there.

Last time racing at CID was October 10th of 2020. We typically get there twice a year.

Hard Limit, might see you at CID in a couple of weeks if you still make it to the nostalgia drags.
