Crites lists subframe connectors for 62-65 comet convert for $79. Seems like pretty cheap insurance considering I'll be having floor pans put in anyway.

Do the Crites sub frame connectors do much for overall body strength (to help a tired body with some soft metal) or are they more to reduce twist if you plan to put more power in than my stock 260 v8?

Can they easily be welded to the bottom of the floor pans or is the clearance such that one would need to do some additional fabrication?
