subframe connectors

Crites lists subframe connectors for 62-65 comet convert for $79. Seems like pretty cheap insurance considering I'll be having floor pans put in anyway.

So I'm not a body guy (not that much of a engine guy either) but I'm looking at strengthening options for my 64 Caliente Convertible. Do the Crites sub frame connectors do much for overall body strength (to help a tired body with some soft metal) or are they more to reduce twist if you plan to put more power in than my stock 260 v8?

Can they easily be welded to the bottom of the floor pans or is the clearance such that one would need to do some additional fabrication?

WOULD LOVE TO SEE SOME PIC'S OF YOUR DROP-TOP, SOUNDS LIKE A COOL CAR. NOT MANY 260 DROP-TOPS AROUND, STROKED....
