CSRP vs Chockostang front disc brake conversion

Post by Red65Cyclone »

I see CSRP and Chockostang disc brake conversion kits are popular with members here. The kits for a '65 Cyclone are similar in price ($46 different) so what's the difference in the kits?

both are same type brakes,Kelsey Hayes type 4 piston calipers.

I used the csrp kit. has everything you need but hard lines. at the time it was the cheaper of the 2 kits & csrp had a deal back then ,,,when ordering,,if you said you saw the ad in vintage mustang forum he would knock 20$ off the shipping,or free shipping depending on your location.

no experience with chocostang but have heard nothing but good reports on them.

Ive gotten kits from both. You cant go wrong with either one in my opinion.

Got mine from Dan at Chockostang. Installed on a 66 Caliente, manual brakes, was a simple install.
I did have to get 15” rims, the 14” stock steel rims wouldn’t fit, was told that before purchase, but we wanted to go with a nice mag wheel setup anyway.
Dan was always responsive for any questions, and I see that on the Mustang (VMF) forum as well.
