The 'Cobra' / M-7003-Z / 251 / etc uses a tapered bearing instead of typical T5 large 'needle bearings' between Input and Output shafts adding to Torque rating like later Tremecs'. So the
Input and Output/Main Shafts are different for 'Pocket Bearing" -
maybe same as some later Mustang T5 / T45's. Difference should be carefully noted, OEM stamped part numbers and 'Tooth Count' are the specs' that count.
.
... T5 parts are generally available, rebuild info also online. E-Bay these days are same big parts vendors and many 'Fox T5's are still around for aftermarket 'upgrade' parts like front bearing/TO and countershaft rear bearing carriers. Complete gear sets may be simpler than matching existing parts. I used multiple vendors and some 're-used' parts.

BTW - the
NON- WORLD CLASS T5 is misnomer - Only difference is
WORLD CLASS T5 uses ATF and ATF suitable bearings instead of old style gear oil and Bronze type bearing surfaces for gear oil. Mustang GT -
NWC T5 circa 1984 in my Falcon wagon is alittle stiff in cold weather but shifts as good or better than the Cobra T5's rebuilt or brand new.
