460 BBF in 65 Comet Caliente (brake vacuum)

Post by rockhopper29 »

I have a nice complete 65 which has been built as a restomod. Motor is fully built out, 600 plus hp. Built C6, stall converter, 9 in rear with 373 gearing. She runs strong. The build was tough as you would imagine. Shock tower removal, R&C coilover mustang 11 frontend. Subframe connectors, etc. Power steering, power brakes. Because of limitation on room, it is difficult to work. The cam is big so even with a vacuum pump, I do not have enough brake for my safety. I want more stopping power. Has anyone installed a Hydroboost brake booster in a 65? This sometime I am looking at to free up space from the big 428 Torino power brake booster on the drivers side and the electric vacuum pump and tank on the passenger side. The hydroboost would appear to replace all that and give me more engine bay room. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.
