If anyone can spare a 1964 Comet radio, I'd appreciate it. An AM and an AM/FM were available. Either one would be OK.
I have a 1964 Falcon model which I thought would work; it is a 4TBD. The holes match up, but the control shafts are too short. It looks like 1964 Comet radios are unique:
1964 Comet AM: 4TME
1964 Comet AM/FM: F4TBE
The Falcon model number is stamped on the side under where the power and speaker leads go in.
Every aftermarket place I've looked skips 1964. If you know of a store that includes a model for 1964 Comet, I'd appreciate the info.
Thanks!

Re: Looking for a 1964 Comet Radio
The right radio (4TME) popped up on eBay and I grabbed it immediately. It needed some work, but I got it working and installed it.
1964 Comet radios are unique - don't listen to eBay ads that give a range of vehicles and years. If it's not a 4TME or F4TBE then don't waste your money. I have two other radio's I bought that were supposed to fit. They didn't.
