Clutch parts and more wanted

Post by Econodonn »

I am new to the comet world. I bought a 1963 that I am building into a gasser . The car came with a 351w and a 4spd, neither were installed.
I am looking for the clutch assembly from the pedal to the fork. I think other year comet setups will work? You guys would know that better then me I'm sure. I need more parts but want to get the clutch set up done first.
So please. If you are parting a car or just happen to have an old setup around please contact me. I would also welcome any suggestions and or advice from anyone that has done a V8 conversation.
Thank you,
Donn

I'll write back to you later,
Thank you,

Pretty sure the 64 parts will work in a 63.
The only issue I can see would be the z-bar width. You may have to modify it because of the difference in the 289 and 351 blocks.
Also 64 bellhousings were 5 bolt and 351 is a 6 bolt pattern.

Joe;unless the 289 is an early one,351W and 289-302 all are the same from deck down, motor mounts, bellhousings, front dress, starter, pan is different as a 351W uses bigger mains!! ROY.
