Hit a few patches of hard rain but after my wingman Ratical peeled off at his exit it was smooth sailing, hardly no rain.

We're home safe and sound with nary a hitch in the getup. Little rain but better than the way out. Standby for my thread entitled "the sounds of pigeon forge 2016" as soon as I get the videos into photobucket...

Made it home about 10:30. Unloaded the truck, then it started pouring rain. The comet is still on the trailer. As soon as it lets up I'll unload it. Glad everyone has made it home. JL sorry to hear about your bad luck. I hope you get it figured out. John glad you made it home without any more issues. I wish we would have had better weather for the weekend, but we still had fun and made new friends, and caught up with some old ones. All in all it was a great weekend. Already booked for next year, Pugs.

It was great to see everyone again this weekend.I made it home between 4:30 & 5:00. I got all my toys put away except for the cooler. I made a trip back in town to restock the cooler and now I am sitting outside enjoying the nice evening. Reflecting on the weekend escapades while enjoying an adult beverage.

Johno, glad to hear you made it home ok.

JL, sorry you had a long return trip. The main thing is, you made it home safe.

We are still working our way toward home, spending the night in Paducah again and back west in the morning.

John we pulled in front of you just a bit past Knoxville, we had stopped for gas and as I pulled out on to the highway I told my wife "There is John!" kept my eye on you in the rearview and thought I saw you had an escort.

Well, I maybe the last oen home but we are here. We had a puckering moment between Pigeon Forge and Knoxville coming down a hill at about 75-80 mph (it was basically dry) heavy smell of a tranny leak and Kim goes, "ugh, there's smoke in the car". I pulled over and the trans had puked a load of fluid on the exhaust and it was still smoking, at first I feared that the convertor seal had blown from too much pressure, then I began to realize I had over filled it before we left and it was purging it from the vent, the RPM and the incline made it dump. So with this thought we started back up and I watched the rear view pretty good, the only other times it smoked was downhill and if I left the speed get away from me. It made for a longer trip but 65-70 mph seemed to be the speed it liked and we had no further issue. We stopped at the Disney store in Kennesaw and stopped for lunch just before Columbus, GA. Shortly after lunch Ron came by us in his rig, then I traffic back up for an accident, we over took him and never looked back (I think he got off a t his exit since he lives in/around Columbus.

I would echo the great time from everyone else and I was really pleased to see that the rain didn't dampen our fun, great people and great cars.

Thank you to everyone who puts this together, I want name names that way I don't forget anyone and thanks to Mountain Breeze as well for being great host.

Glad for all the folks that showed up for the first time and we look forward to seeing you next year hopefully with your Comets. Wes, chin up man your's will get done.

Johnny glad you had no further issues, JL sorry I wasn't close enough to help, we could have kept swapping the battery with Aunt Lou's and got you home.

Thanks again to everyone, it was a great time and something Kim and I both look forward too each year.
Careful your character's showing!

Thanks for that Pops, I came away with good memories and got to meet the greatest bunch of people, I felt I knew most of the guys there before I ever met them.

I will add to this for anyone out there that can make the trip to PF next year you will not regret it, if you can bring a Comet that is great, if not come anyway we can all see your car sometime but would like to meet you in person.

See Ya,
Mike
