Parts swapping at the Gathering

Post by mopar 346 »

I thought about starting a parts swap thread for the Gathering but decided against it until Loman posted he needs a 2 door bench seat. I haven't been able to source a lot of Comet parts or people who hoard Comet parts over the years so I am hoping some of ya'll might have a few.

I need a padded dash for a 63.5 in the worst way, red would be awesome but will take any color that is not cracked and seems somewhat pliable. Fortunately I have found an interior paint that has great coverage and seems to be very durable. I'll pony up for the right dash so don't be shy.

Loman's post from the Gathering thread:

Is there anyone who is showing up at pigeon forge that has a used 2 dr hardtop front bench seat that they might be interested in selling . I might be looking for a used seat without rips and tears in it preferably aqua/blue or maybe even black. I don't care if it is old and faded, just don't want a trashed one because I have several of those. It would have to be fairly cheap because it is a temporary fix. PM me if you have something that you think I might be interested in.

I don't have what either of you need. But I do have sevral parts laying around that I would part with for someone in need. But I can't load them all. And probably won't pull them all down and inventory them. So post it and I will see if I have it. I do have a set of 289 heads. Mustang hipo exhaust manifolds

Kevin you will soon be able to get a repro but you will need to paint/dye it as they will only have black. I saw it on one of the comet facebook channels. I find the details .

This is the company who will have them;

What's the tag on the 4100? is it the 1.08 vent?

Well, seems this was popular!

I also need a fresh air vent for the driver's side, 63.5 no air.

It would be great if they repop the dash properly.

Kevin does it have a door like the pass side? I know the earlier ones did. I have one from a 65 with a cable & knob.
