Thinking about trying to make it for my first time this year. Might try to find the local dragstrip and check out some new scenery.

Mark just a heads up, the closest strip is about an hour away on the other side of Knoxville. But don't let that deter you. Come on down, Pugs.

I will be there. Not bringing my car. My family is coming this year and I would like to spend some time with them (Sisters/bother-in-laws, daughters/son-in-laws/grand children/ and wife). Radical has been a God Send this year for me. He was always willing to help me get the correct dimensions for IFS on the front of my 64 Comet. Thanks Radical. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Jim, Thanks again for correcting my thoughts on the dates for the Gathering (June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th). Wayne has been great in placing the ads for the Gathering at various venous. Saw the ad on Facebook, Thanks. Catch all of you later. :D :D :D :D Corky

As it turns out, I will not be there this year, but depending on summer work schedule, Maverick is still planning to bring our Caliente. My wife and I are celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary during that period with a very casual trip down the FLA Keys 8). I wanted to drive the Comet, but we settled on renting a Mustang Convertible out of Miami.

I'll be checking Ratical's photo posts on my iPad (when my wife is not looking of course)

Mark I just found another dragstrip but it is an hour and 15 away. It's about 66 miles away. I don't know how far you are willing to travel. Knoxville drag way is one and the 2nd is Cherokee raceway in Rogersville, TN.

Made my hotel reservations for the trip there and back, will spend the night in Knoxville Thursday night, be in Pigeon Forge Friday and then have a room in Cape Girardeau Sunday night for our trip back, we thought it was best to have just around 8 hours drive each day for the long leg and not just drive straight through.
