How late on Sunday are you folks staying in PF? We're coming into town (Gatlinburg) on Sunday for a weeks vacation and just found out your gathering was this weekend. I've been an member here since 2011, but inactive for the last several years. I won't have my 1962 Comet with me but would love to stop and visit. Best case, I'm in town between 1-2 PM.
Thanks
Daniel Livingston

Welcome back, Daniel! Unfortunately, most of us pull up stakes and are gone by lunchtime on Sunday. Only a couple are "local". The rest have a long way to go home. Any way you could slide your schedule to come in on Saturday? That's the peak day for participants and spectators. We'd love to meet you and swap some stories. :D

Sorry, Heading out of Rochester, NY on Saturday towards Columbus, OH and staying at our son's house overnight. A chance to see the grandkids on the way to Gatlinburg. Maybe next year.

I hope everyone has a great time once again at the gathering this year. I won't be there but am looking forward to all the photos of everyone who does make it there. I'm sure Mike will be looking down on all the Comets and smiling at what he started. Enjoy the weekend.

Lowman, we’re gonna miss you AGAIN! 😁
Daniel, make your plans for next year.
Jim, we’ll see ya’ll before you read this.

4 on the ground this morning, 2 of which are first timers (the cars anyway) and I think 4 other participants that didn’t bring their car but brought their families. Looking forward to a great event!

We have 17 on the ground as of this evening. Another guy came by and said he’s staying in Gatlinburg and will be here tomorrow with his 64. Another 64 vert came through the parking lot, but left. Will hopefully return tomorrow. Weather has been great. Good fellowship and good time.

It’s been awesome so far, lots of old friend and some new ones. Several have come full circle and brought their car for the first time after attending for several years with one. TN Trash officially returned to the fold with his new 64, although he has attended even with his Falcon in the interim. Off the cars noted, 8 are first timers if you count Doug’s new one and we have our first ever 72 and up vintage Comet. It’s a really great car too, original owner and a true survivor including original paint. Another cool story come by way of a 67 202 from Kentucky that the young lady’s grandfather bought new for her grandmother and all the paperwork to show with it.

I’m sure we get an official accounting of it but I can think of cars from AL, GA, FL, SC, NC, VA,VW, KY, TN, MO and PA. And people from many other states.

I’ve described it for years as a family reunion with cars and it has lived up to it this year for sure.

Looking forward to an awesome day!

I wonder if anyone has tried to organize something in the west. A 300 mile radius from Bakersfield would take in Reno Las Vegas San Francisco and Los Angeles. And a lot of smaller places. Oughta be a fair number of Comet folks.

The Gathering was great again this year! We had 22 cars there from at least 11 states. I say "at least" because there was one brief visit from a 64 vert with a tag that read Rag Doll, but I didn't get a pic of it and didn't note the state. There was another 65 cali there the whole weekend, but I didn't realize until I got home and looked at the pics that I couldn't read his tag, so I'm not sure where he was from. Kevin, maybe you can help me out with both of those. The ones I am sure of were:
(2) SC
(2) FL
(1) GA
(1) NC
(3) KY
(1) MO
(6) TN
(1) VA
(1) AL
(1) PA
The weather was great. We also had a number of new folks this year. We made our reservations and are looking forward to next year. :D

That would be a great idea! All it needs is someone out there to organize it. We had several folks that came this year without their cars, including from Texas and Chicago for example. We've had folks there over the years WITH their cars from as far away as New York, Minnesota and Louisiana, to name a few. The very first year there was even a guy who drove his Comet from California , so you could probably pull from much greater than a 300 mile radius.
