Carburetor replacement
Carburetor replacement
Does anyone sell NEW carburetors for these in line sixes? I can get a Daytona and adapt it, or a Holley FI system, but I can't find an original replacement. Just tired of rebuilding and still not quite right. Successfully rebuilt carbs for 50 years, so hoping it's not just me! Thanks!

Autolite 1100?
There are plenty of Chinese knockoffs on EBay for sale. What vendor is best is beyond me.
I was searching them a couple years ago for a friend's 200 but never purchased one.

Re: Carburetor replacement
I kept looking and found one at Melvin's Classic Fords in Conyers, GA. Not sure if I will have to replace mine. I'm still troubleshooting.

Re: Carburetor replacement
I bought a remanufactured one off eBay. So far it is running great on my '64 200-6 Comet. Surprisingly, in a good way, if they have several carburetors ready of a particular type, the one in the picture is the one you get. I asked them a question about the carburetor, and they said 'Sorry, it's sold'. Bummed out. But I noticed that the ad was still up so that was a head-scratcher.
They don't have any left, but the ad is still up??
The next thing you know, a different Autolite 1100 photo shows up in the ad. Identical, except a different tag and slightly different photo angle. Amazed that you get the actual one in the photo rather than a generic it-looks-kinda-like-this photo when they have multiple items. I bought it. Here's a link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/176278464056

OK...so she might need a little work.
