How are the u-joints, not sure that is related to your situation but an easy check and fairly easy fix. just sit the car on a flat surface in park and see if you can hear any clunking when you push the car forward and back by hand, also se how far the car moves.

I guess it is the transmission itself, the noise comes right out of the middle. :(
In the next days i will check it.
