61 comet, sedan 144cu. Fuel line replacement question

Post by 61 Waycrosscomet »

How in the heck do you get the old fuel line out in one piece? And more importantly how do I get the new pre-bent in? Most of the line is easy until the large sharpish bends near the start of the drive shaft and emergency brake wires. i can always cut the old line out, but I figured I need to get the old one out in one piece so I know how to get the new one in? I am
worried about kinking the new line. Is there a trick? or do I remove something underneath so it drops out easier? Any help would of course be appreciated. John M.

Good luck, I have no idea but hopefully someone does, let us know when you figure it out, I am sure the factory put it on way before any of the other components.

See Ya,

Not sure about the interference problems your having, but sounds like you may need to drop the drive shaft and disconnect the parking brakes cables at the yoke. Sounds like a lot of work, but would probably take less time than you've already spent trying to get it in with everything in place.
